New Delhi: Taking a jibe at farmer leaders after a man was lynched by a mob in Kundli near the protest site of farmers on the Delhi-Haryana border, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said the “anarchists” behind the protests. ‘ needs to be exposed, because they are doing great harm to the country.

In Haryana’s Sonepat district on Friday, the body of a man was found hanging from a barricade, whose hands were chopped off. In a video that has gone viral on social media, it is seen that some Nihangs are standing on the ground near a person lying in a pool of blood and his severed hand is also lying there.

Hitting out at farmer leader Rakesh Tikait and political activist Yogendra Yadav, BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya said in a tweet that if Tikait had not justified the mob lynching in Lakhimpur when Yadav sat silent beside them Had it been, the young man would not have been murdered at the Kundli border. He said that the ‘anarchists’ behind these protests need to be exposed.

Strongly condemning the incident, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that it is a gruesome murder and it is not the work of farmers, who will lay down their lives for other citizens.

Not the farmers who insult the tricolor
Demanding strict action against the accused, Bhatia said, “These professional protestors are doing great harm to the nation by posing as farmers who have killed innocent people, raped women and insulted the tricolor and the reaction of the action.” As the killings of civilians are justified, they cannot be called farmers.

According to the police, the deceased Lakhbir Singh is said to be a laborer who was a resident of Tarn Taran in Punjab and his age is about 35 years. The farmers’ protest site, Singhu, is located near the Delhi-Haryana border. Farmers have been protesting against the agriculture laws of the Center for the last 10 months.
