New Delhi: The speed of corona infection in the country has come down significantly but still the risk of virus infection remains constant. Experts are constantly advising to be careful in the festive season. Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical (ICMR) Research has made a surprising disclosure about corona infection. In the sero survey conducted by ICMR, it has been revealed that during the epidemic, about 60 percent of the children in the country were also suffering from corona virus infection.
ICMR said that it has come to the fore in the sero survey that not only the elderly and the youth have been infected during the corona epidemic. It has been revealed in the survey that about 60 percent of the children were also affected by the virus. However, it is a matter of relief that the mortality rate among children was very low.
Dr. Sanjay Rai of Delhi AIIMS told that due to the strong immunity power of the children, the virus could not affect them much. He said that the death rate among children due to corona is only 2 in one lakh, which is very low. On whether corona vaccines will be beneficial for children or not, he said that till now no such study has come to the fore to prove that the vaccine will be very beneficial for children.
Most deaths occurred in April-May
Let us tell you that in the month of April-May, the whole country saw the frightening form of this virus during the second wave of corona. In the second wave of Corona, the highest number of deaths were reported in the country. This was the time when the number of corona patients increased so much that there was an outcry for medical oxygen in many states and cities.
At present, the pace of corona has stopped in most of the states and the governments are gradually giving exemption to the public from the Kovid-19 restrictions. The ban is being removed gradually from the markets as well. Meanwhile, in view of the festive season for the next one month, the government is advising the public to take precautions.
Antibodies in more than 80 percent of people
At present, the maximum number of corona cases in the entire country are coming from the state of Kerala itself. Kerala Health Minister Veena George said on Monday that according to the recent sero survey conducted by the state’s LDF government, more than 80 percent of the people aged 18 years and above in Kerala have Kovid-19 antibodies.
Responding to questions related to the survey raised in the state assembly, the minister said that 82.6 per cent of the population aged 18 years and above have COVID-19 antibodies and this is due to vaccination and virus infection.
