There, because her father could not bear the humiliation of her husband, she jumped into the Yagya Kund and sacrificed her life. When Lord Shiva came to know about this, he took the burning body of Mother Sati in his lap. He started traveling in anger all over the world. During this, 51 organs of the mother had fallen at different places in the country and abroad. One of these places is also Alopi Bagh of Prayagraj. Where the paw of the right hand of the mother had fallen. This is the number 14 Shaktipeeth.
