Chennai. N Srinivasan, vice-chairman and managing director of India Cements, which formerly owned Chennai Super Kings (CSK), said on Monday that CSK cannot be imagined without Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni). The former President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also said that Dhoni cannot be imagined without Chennai Super Kings, which shows the deep relationship between the legendary cricketer and this franchise team. Under Dhoni’s leadership, CSK recently won the IPL title for the fourth time.
“Dhoni is an integral part of CSK, Chennai and Tamil Nadu,” Srinivasan told reporters after visiting Lord Venkatachalapati’s temple with the IPL trophy. There is no CSK without Dhoni and there is no Dhoni without CSK. CSK was owned by India Cements from 2008 to 2014. After this it was transferred to Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited.
