New Delhi. You must have often seen the Anganwadi running within the Chahar wall, but in Delhi now you will get to see the moving Anganwadi. In fact, the Delhi government has started a scheme called ‘Anganwadi on Wheels’, in which some buses have been designed in such a way that they look exactly like Anganwadi from inside.
The specialty of this Anganwadi prepared in the bus is that it will reach the children themselves, for this the children will not need to go anywhere. Designed for children up to 6 years of age, this moving Anganwadi has all the things that are usually kept for children in an Anganwadi. In this, everything from different books to children’s playthings will be found inside it. Along with this, there will also be a complete arrangement of food for the children.
The Delhi government has started this scheme in association with Save the Children. At present, 2 buses have been prepared for this, which will roam in different areas every day. Education Minister Manish Sisodia says that this scheme has been started for those children who often could not reach the Anganwadi. The government says that if this is successful, then more buses will be run in the same way so that children can get nutritious food along with primary education.
Women and Child Development Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam started the Integrated Hub Model for the care and protection of girl child and women in the year 2021 through ‘Saheli Coordination Center’. In its first phase, 101 SSKs and in the second phase 354 SSKs have been operated. In these Saheli Samanvya Kendras, 50 crches and day-care services for children below 6 years of age have also been added. Along with this, 329 supervisors and 10,245 Anganwadi workers have been given digital training on Early Childhood Care Education through the nutrition tracker app.
