The team defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets in a match (New Zealand vs Pakistan). Playing first, New Zealand scored 134 runs for 8 wickets. In reply, Pakistan achieved the target for 5 wickets in 18.4 overs. Fast bowler Haris Rauf took 4 wickets while bowling brilliantly. Pakistan had defeated Team India by 10 wickets in the first match.
