New Delhi. The case about which Yuvraj Singh, the former cricketer of Team India is seen in trouble, is actually 16 months old. His troubles have increased due to a derogatory remark of June 2020. Yuvraj had made indecent remarks about the Dalit society, regarding which the Haryana Police had now registered an FIR. This FIR against former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was registered on the complaint of Rajat Kalsan, lawyer and coordinator of Dalit Human Rights.
Due to the influence of Yuvraj Singh, the police did not register an FIR in this case for 8 months, while social worker Rajat Kalsan had complained only after the derogatory remarks came in June 2020, but the police did not register any case. Kalsan took the case to the court and the court reprimanded the Haryana Police and directed to register the case, after which the case was registered after 8 months. This FIR has been registered against the Sixer King of Indian cricket in the Hansi city police station of Hisar. A report was written on Yuvraj in many serious sections, including sections of IPC (Sections 153, 153 A, 295, 505) and also sections of SC/ST Act.
What is the charge against Yuvraj Singh?
In June last year, social activist Rajat Kalsan lodged a police complaint against Yuvraj. The complainant had accused Yuvraj Singh of making objectionable remarks on Yuzvendra Chahal in a live chat with Rohit Sharma. In this case, Rajat Kalsan, the convener of National Alliance and Dalit Human Rights, had given a complaint to the Hansi Superintendent of Police. The police had got the CD given in the complaint checked in the lab. After a long investigation, on February 14 this year, the Hansi police registered a case against Yuvraj Singh under other sections including the SC-ST Act. After which Yuvraj Singh filed a bail petition in the High Court. After which the court granted him bail and ordered to join the investigation.
What happened in that live chat?
The matter regarding which the FIR has been lodged against India’s 2011 World Cup hero is related to his Instagram live chat with Team India’s current opener Rohit Sharma in June last year. Yuvraj is accused of using casteist words during this chat.
While chatting with Rohit, Yuvraj says that Kuldeep has also come online. From the other side Rohit Sharma says that Kuldeep is online, they are all online, they are all sitting like this… Yuvi says that these Bhangi people are of no use to Yuji. That’s where all the fuss has arisen. Then Yuvraj Singh had to face the displeasure of the people for calling Yuji i.e. Yuzvendra Chahal a casteist word. Not only this, #Yuvraj_Singh_Apologize_Mango remained in the top trend on Twitter. However, later Yuvraj Singh also apologized on this.
