Recalling the days of shooting with Rajesh Khanna, Mumtaz told the story of the shooting of the film ‘Roti’. There was a scene in this film in which Mumtaz has to carry Rajesh on his shoulders and walk in the snow. It took eight days to film this scene.
Talking to Mumbai Mirror, Mumtaz had told that in the climax scene of the shooting of ‘Manmohan Desai’s film ‘Roti’, Rajesh had to run in the snow with me on his shoulder. Every morning when the shooting started, Rajesh would tell me ‘Ae moti chal aaja’ and I would jump and ride on his shoulder, which we completed in eight days. I was not so skinny, he got a red patch on his shoulder while doing this scene. We used to laugh a lot’.
While talking to the media, Mumtaz had told that ‘It was a very difficult task for Rajesh to lift me up in the snow. Every day as soon as the shooting started, I used to jokingly say that now let’s pick up the 100 kg sack on your shoulder, then he would say that no, it should not be so heavy, but I knew that I was slim.

People used to affectionately call Rajesh Khanna as Kaka. No actor has been able to break the record that Rajesh made in his career till date. The record of giving 15 hit films simultaneously is also in the name of Kak.
