In the festive season, the center issued a new Kovid guideline, ban on mass gatherings at these places


New Delhi: The speed of corona infection has reduced in most of the states of the country, but still its danger has not reduced. In the festive season, there is a need to be very careful for the next two months. Now in view of the festive season, a new Kovid-19 guideline has been issued by the Union Health Ministry.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said on Thursday that the threat of a second wave of corona virus in India is still not completely over. In some states, there is a spurt in infection right now. He said that even in the states where restrictions are being relaxed, warnings have been given regarding infection.

SOP issued to states and union territories
There will be a festive atmosphere for the next two months. In such a situation, the Center has advised to be vigilant regarding Corona and has issued some new rules. The Health Secretary said that on September 21, 2021, a new SOP has been issued by the Union Health Ministry to the states and union territories.

According to the Health Secretary, mass gatherings will have to be avoided in areas marked as containment zones and areas where the corona infection rate is more than 5 percent. In areas where the infection rate will be less than 5 percent, it will be necessary to take advance permission before organizing the program. The Union Health Secretary said that relaxations and restrictions will be imposed in the areas based on the weekly case positivity rate for the next two months.

Significantly, in the months of April and May this year, the entire country saw the devastating form of corona and the alarming spike of infection rate. People had to wander from door to door for hospitals and oxygen. Most of the states and union territories had to impose strict lockdown once again to prevent the infection of Kovid-19.

Since then there has been some improvement and there has also been some decrease in the death rate graph. However, there are still some states including Kerala, Maharashtra where corona cases have seen a boom again. In such a situation, the Health Ministry does not want any laxity in the festive season.
