Hubli. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai hit back at Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah for his alleged statement that the Bharatiya Janata Party (Bjp) was Talibani, calling the Congress a party of slavery. Responding to a question on Siddaramaiah’s statement, Bommai said, “It (Congress) is Gulamgiri’s party, so they also look at patriotism differently. Our party is a patriot, it is a party of slavery.
Talking to reporters, he said that due to Macaulay’s education policy adopted during the Congress rule, India was deprived of opportunities to compete at the global level.
He said, “Now Narendra Modi (as prime minister) has brought a new education policy to ensure revolutionary change in the education system which can take our children, especially children from rural areas, into the knowledge age of 21st century. But they (Congress) are finding fault in that too.
Earlier on Sunday, Siddaramaiah had alleged that the ‘BJP’ were Talibani. He claimed that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is actually running the government in Karnataka. In an event in Bangalore, he had said, ‘RSS and BJP are from Hitler’s lineage. BJP is Talibani. Beware of them. Responding to this, Bommai said Siddaramaiah’s statement clearly shows that he is “disappointed”.
