Due to this, the rupee closed at a low of 74.98 against the dollar at the close of the forex market today. This has increased the risk of strengthening the sentiment of foreign investors pulling out capital from the Indian markets. In the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened at a level of 74.63 against the dollar in the morning of today’s trading. After this, it touched a high of 74.54 and a low of 74.99 today.

Dollar index also declined
After a day-long upsurge, the domestic currency finally closed at 74.98 with a fall of 54 paise against yesterday. Today, the dollar index, showing the comparative position of the US dollar against 6 major currencies, was trading at a level of 94.36, up 0.41 percent. Meanwhile, Brent crude futures fell 0.55 per cent to $82.11 per barrel.

Falling trend in stock markets
In the Indian stock market, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex closed at 59,189.73 with a fall of 555.15 points. At the same time, the Sensitive Index Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 17,646.00 with a loss of 176.30 points, or 0.99 percent. According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors booked huge profits in the Indian stock market on Tuesday and became net sellers. He made a net sale of shares worth Rs 1,915.08 crore on this day.
