New Delhi. The teams of India and England are face to face in their first warm-up match of T20 World Cup 2021. England scored 188 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs and India achieved the target by losing 3 wickets with 6 balls to spare. For England, Jonny Bairstow scored 49 runs in 36 balls with 4 fours and 1 six, while Moeen Ali contributed 43 not out. Liam Livingstone scored 30 runs. For India, pacer Mohammed Shami took 3 wickets for 40 runs while Bumrah and Rahul Chahar got 1-1 wickets.
Opener Ishan Kishan scored 70 and KL Rahul scored 51 runs for India. Both also shared an opening partnership of 82 runs. Rishabh Pant hit the winning six who returned unbeaten on 29 off 14 balls. Captain Virat Kohli scored 11 and Hardik Pandya scored 12 not out. David Willey, Mark Wood and Liam Livingstone took 1-1 wickets for England.
