New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda on Friday said that a “professional and scientific” investigation will be conducted into the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case in Uttar Pradesh and action will be taken against those involved in the incident. Because “no one is above the law.” Addressing the ‘India Today Conclave 2021’, Nadda said that the incident of violence should not be seen from the point of view of elections, but from the point of view of humanity.
He said, ‘Law will take its own course. No one is above the law. An SIT has been formed. Investigation will be done at the best professional and scientific level and action will be taken against those involved (in the incident).
To a question on the alleged involvement of Union Minister Ajay Kumar Mishra’s son in the violence, Nadda said neither the BJP nor its government would support any such activity where the law is taken in hand.

It is worth noting that the name of Ajay Mishra’s son is prominently appearing in the Lakhimpur violence case and the crime branch has also summoned Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra in this case. The UP Police also pasted the notice at the minister’s house and asked him to appear before the police. Till now Ashish Mishra did not appear before the police even after getting the notice.
