Kajol has shared the video of the last scene of the film from her Instagram account on the 26th anniversary of the film.
In the video, Amrish Puri is holding Kajol’s hand firmly. Then he leaves Kajol’s hand and says, ‘Jaa Simran Jaa, Ji Le Apni Zindagi…’. In the caption of this video, Kajol has written that, ‘Simran caught the train 26 years ago and we are still thanking all the viewers for this love’.
The film’s video editor Keshav Naidu had told in an interview to the media that ‘DDLJ’ was a film which was brilliant in every respect. Be it acting or directing, screenplay or music, or a mix of tradition and modernity. Apart from this, the grasslands of Switzerland and the mustard fields of Punjab also added to the film.
Naidu had said that she liked the scene in the film when Simran tells Raj that she is going to marry a man whom she has never met or seen. Naidu said, “The scene was spectacular as it was shot very well. From there I fell in love with him. I understood that these two are going to do very well going forward, especially Kajol. He acted wonderfully. Shahrukh also appeared in the same complexion for which he was always known.
