Washington. A helicopter of the US Navy has crashed. The USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) helicopter crashed on Tuesday during a routine flight from an aircraft carrier in the seas of Southern California, military officials said. 5 people are said to be missing after the accident.
The US Navy said five members of the Navy were missing after the helicopter crashed into the sea in Southern California.
The Navy said that there were 6 people on board the MH-60S helicopter. The accident happened at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, about 60 nautical miles from San Diego.

Officials said one crew member has been rescued. Search is on for the remaining 5 people.
The US Third Fleet said the Coast Guard and Navy were engaged in a search operation for the missing service members.
