Prayagraj. After the death of Mahant Narendra Giri, the arrested accused have been sent on 7-day remand. CJM court has granted 7 days remand of the accused. The CBI had filed an application with the magistrate seeking 10-day custody remand. The CJM court has granted the custody remand of the three accused Anand Giri, Aadya Prasad Tiwari and their son Sandeep Tiwari from 9 am on 28 September to 5 pm on 4 October. Let us inform that after the death of Mahant Narendra Giri, all three were arrested and sent to jail. All three are currently lodged in Naini Central Jail in 14-day judicial custody.
The application for custody remand was filed on behalf of CBI team’s investigating officer Additional SP KS Negi. Before granting the remand, the court heard the side of the accused through video conferencing. After this, the CJM’s court, while denying the 10-day custody remand sought by the CBI, granted the custody remand for 7 days. The CBI will now interrogate the three arrested accused.

CBI will interrogate the main accused Swami Anand Giri. Aadya Prasad Tiwari and his son Sandeep were the chief priests of the Hanuman temple. CBI will interrogate all three regarding the alleged CD that implicated Mahant Narendra Giri in the Honey Trap. For the recovery of CD, CBI can also bring these accused to Math Baghambri Gaddi. Here the team of CBI is also investigating after reaching the Math Baghmbri on Monday. He has so far collected evidence from Mahant Narendra Giri’s room in his investigation. The servicemen have been questioned in detail and the crime scene has been recreated.
